NOON Interior Design reimagined this Clearwater Bay residence as a contemporary meditation on New Chinese-style living, where restraint and layered materiality cultivate a sense of quiet sanctuary.
A Modern Reading of Eastern Calm
The living room is anchored by a sweeping ink-wash mountain mural that lends the volume both depth and serenity. Below it, a grey fabric sofa converses with white-upholstered armchairs framed in dark timber, while marble-top tea tables add a cool, tactile counterpoint.
Choreographing Flow and Stillness
The open living and dining zones unfold around a long dark-wood table, their rhythm punctuated by brass-framed display shelving and light through lattice fretwork screens. A raised tatami nook with a sunken table carves out a contemplative retreat, while the bedroom layers navy and grey against warm timber.
